Desi nu ma numar printre cei care reprezinta crema blogosferei de analiza politica de la noi si nu mi s-a cerut in mod expres parerea (conform principiilor a) ca exista 23 milioane de selectioneri in tara asta si b)ca tot romanul se pricepe la sport si politica) as dori sa ofer si eu o subiectiva analiza a situatie de fata, care e, de altfel, definitorie pentru viata politica damboviteana a ultimilor 18 ani. Romania’s ideological chaos and the year 1968

This year we commemorate the 40th anniversary of 1968. I was looking at an article in Intelligent Life that glanced back into the past to reveal how much of the 1968 revolutionary frenzy still impacts us today. As I was reading, it dawned to me that this seminal year for the Western Civilization still has significant impact on Romanian society today. It was the sheer absence of any revolutionary activity in 1968 Romania that presaged the ideological chaos that still dominates society here. Continue Reading »
